Susan Denk,

“Harmony in my home means lots of laughter, contentment, creativity and love.”

Susan has over 35 years of diversified construction industry experience, both as the owner of White Crane and as an employee of one of the country’s largest general contracting and services companies. Susan moved to Minneapolis from San Antonio in 1998, and lives in the Browndale neighborhood with her partner and their four-legged friend Oso. She holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. from Miami University.
Community service is important to Susan. She is a past board chair of the YWCA Minneapolis, and, in 2014, completed a $20 million capital campaign as a campaign co-chair. Susan is on the Board of Trustees and serves as the Board Chair of the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, whose vision is a world of equal opportunity where women and girls – and all people – hold the power to create and to live safe, prosperous lives.

Gail Jacobson, Allied ASID

“To me, Harmony is the thoughtful balance of unity and variety. A harmonic space balances our physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. It loves and nurtures us.”
Gail holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Fine Arts. She has taught college-level drawing, painting, design and art history, and spent over twenty years creating and selling hand-made paper jewelry at local and regional art fairs. Her passion for design was “lit” during her loving restoration of her 1916, south Minneapolis home, which led her to return to school to pursue an interior design degree. For the past eighteen years, Gail has delighted in the process of creating harmonic spaces and supporting clients in all aspects of the remodeling process.
Gail served for eight years on the board of the Minnesota IFDA chapter (now closed), is an Allied Member of The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and Minneapolis Women’s Rotary. A passionate swing dancer, she travels the country, dancing and competing on the west coast swing dance circuit, and volunteers on the board of her local swing dance club.

McKenna Heck,

Harmony is defined as "the quality of forming a pleasing and consistent whole". McKenna's joy in design is found collaborating with clients to balance beauty and function in their homes. Every great design starts with a practical floor plan, with finishes that reflect the personality of those who live there. The connections she builds with her clients allow McKenna to get a deeper feel for what will serve their family for years to come.

McKenna developed her love of art and design at a young age- always painting and creating. This led her to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design at the University of Wisconsin – Stout. Her education there combined her love for design and fine art, with studies in architecture and construction. She has been working in residential design in the Twin Cities ever since!

When she's not helping her clients design their dream home, McKenna spends her time reading, rock climbing, enjoying the outdoors with her dog Miah, and planning her next road trip. She also enjoys hands-on volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity.
