Now that the cabinetry is in we are ready to install countertops and tile the backsplash!

White subway tile backsplash and light colored quartz countertops contrast the darker stained cabinets.

Countertops

We’ve installed neutral toned quartz Kitchen countertops that have a lot of movement in the pattern. Quartz is a great countertop material because it is low maintenance and it is resistant to scratches, stains, and heat. It also provides a lot of design options, as it comes in many colors, patterns, and finishes. The Kitchen countertops coordinate with the grey luxury vinyl tile, and the rich cabinet color. The counter desk in the work/office area of the Kitchens is the same quartz as the countertops. It was important to have the undermount sink, and cooktop at the countertop install to ensure a perfect fit for both.

The gas cooktop is installed with the countertops.
The stainless steel undermount sink is also installed with the countertops.

The same quartz as the countertop is installed at desk height in the new Kitchen home office workspace/message center.

Tile

The Kitchen backsplash is created with 3 x 12 white subway tiles that have a slight wave texture. Using this tile gives a twist to the hugely popular plain white subway tile backsplash. A white subway tile is also used in the new Powder Room just off the Kitchen to create a cohesive design.
