Two Cooks in the Kitchen

Our friends at Debra Cohen Designs wanted to work with us to bring this client’s dream kitchen to life. Since the couple loves to cook and entertain, we designed and built a 26 square foot island that became the centerpiece of the space. Upper cabinets were removed and a floating serving buffet was built, along with a wet bar and a long drawer bank for linens and dishes. Above the buffet, a large painting adds vibrancy to the space. A new 40 square foot pantry provides ample storage for food and equipment. Existing radiators were removed, floor heat was installed, and an additional air supply was added to the pantry for cooling in warmer months. The existing windows let the natural light pour in, so we maximized the roofline overhangs to provide optimal sight lines.
